Kim Kardashian’s Prison Reform Work in a New Documentary

Over the past year, the reality TV star has placed special emphasis on the improvements still needed in the US criminal justice system. Now, she will document her prison reform work in the new special “Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project“. She is teaming up with Oxigen to work on it.

On July 27, Kim announced this upcoming documentary project on Twitter. Then, she also published photos from her recent visit to the Washington DC Department of Corrections.

In the past year, Kardashian West has made multiple trips to lobby President Donald Trump on behalf of inmates. One of them is Alice Marie Johnson, the grandmother who was granted clemency in 2018 after being sentenced to life in prison for a first-time, nonviolent drug offense.

The “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star financed campaign to free 17 inmates. They are serving life sentences for low-level drug crimes, from federal prison. Also, she supporting Lyft’s rideshare program for former inmates.

A premiere date for “Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project” has yet to be announced. Oxygen says the two-hour special will provide “an exclusive, never-before-seen look inside her mission to tackle one of America’s most controversial subjects.”
