Fortunate Buddha definitely deserves to be the best slot of 2022. It is both interesting and entertaining, somewhat sporadic in features and jackpots, as well as generous when it does come to winning. I find Mermaid Royale to pale in comparison, with few wins, and a less engaging design. My personal favorites are Drsgon Orb and Magic Mushroom, great for .10 to .20 wagers. A reel disappointment this year is Neon Wheels 7, which just doesn’t live up to the hype.
My vote goes to Khrysos Gold, the wild respins are epic. When paired with the coins to activate the jackpot feature it can be very rewarding. I will say the scatter is somewhat challenging to pop, if the slot is reactive and you’re lucky enough to get the three scatter symbols, with how it merges the wild respin, & jackpot features into the scatter spins, in the right conditions, the payout from a single scatter is huge. Lastly, though, you can similarly find these features in comparable form amongst many games, and not exactly exclusive (though the wild respins are a really different approach), the fact that its got a extremely low minimum bet option for features normally found in games where the minimum bet is 150% greater than Khrysos Gold, is why it gets my vote.
