Apple Co-founder: “Bitcoin is the Only Digital Gold”

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak said he hopes that BITCOIN will become the single global currency and digital gold in an interview for CNBC. With this statement, he agreed with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey who told the same a few days ago.

Dorsey predicted that bitcoin would become the international currency of choice both on the internet and the world by 2028.

I buy into what Jack Dorsey says, not that I necessarily believe it’s going to happen, but because I want it to be that way, that is so pure thinking,” Wozniak told CNBC on Monday.

He confessed that he doesn’t want to be an investor and only wanted to experiment with the technology. Because of that he recently sold all but one bitcoin. Nonetheless, for Wozniak Bitcoin is pure digital gold and represents a separate class of CRYPTOCURRENCIES to all others.

Only bitcoin is pure digital gold… and I totally buy into that. All the others tend to give up some of the aspects of Bitcoin. For example, being totally decentralized and having no central control. That’s the first one they have to give up to try to have a business model.

Steve Wozniak who founded Apple with Steve Jobs in 1976 explained that bitcoin is mathematically defined and there is a certain quantity of Bitcoin, way it’s distributed without human running and because of that it growing and surviving.
