One of the happiest holidays of the year is on our doorstep. All of us barely containing ourselves as we know what  Christmas and its spirit bring every year. Some of you already have your  Christmas Eve planned, others may not. Same have booked three seats in front of the TV preparing a Christmas themes movies to enjoy. For all of you we have prepared the list of our best 10 Christmas movies to watch on Christmas Eve.

“Home Alone”

Some of us can’t imagine the Christmas without the cute face of young Macaulay Culkin in this cult movie. “Home Alone” is the highly successful and beloved family comedy about a young boy named Kevin who is accidentally left behind when his family takes off for a vacation in France over the holiday season. Once he realizes they’ve left him home alone, he learns to fend for himself and, eventually has to protect his house against two bumbling burglars who are planning to rob his house.

“The Muppet Christmas Carol”

It may not be the finest version of Charles Dickens’ tale to grace the screen. But, The Muppet Christmas Carol is funny and serves as a good introduction to the story for young viewers.

“The Santa Clause”

This movie brings one of good old-fashioned holiday spirit missing from too many modern films. Scott Calvin is the divorced dad of Charlie. Scott is distressed to learn that his ex-wife Laura (Wendy Crewson) and Charlie’s psychiatrist stepfather Neal (Judge Reinhold) have informed his son that there is no Santa Claus. While a sullen Charlie visits his dad on Christmas Eve, a noise on the roof brings them outside, where Scott startles the intruder, who tumbles from the roof.

“The man who invented Christmas”

This movie tells of the magical journey that led to the creation of Ebenezer Scrooge, Tiny Tim and other classic characters from A Christmas Carol. `the film shows how Charles Dickens mixed real-life inspirations with his vivid imagination to conjure up unforgettable characters and a timeless tale, forever changing the holiday season into the celebration we know today.

“Planes, Trains, and Automobiles”

Funny men Steve Martin and John Candy team up for a classic holiday tale gone awry. Released in 1987, this film features these two comedians at their best. Two rivals trapped in the car on their way home for the holidays.
